Campion Hall to host Summer Formation Academy 2020

The British Province is offering a Summer Formation Academy at Campion Hall.
Taking place during 2- 22 August, 2020, the Academy aims to provide formation for young Jesuits in skills and competencies that are crucial for any Jesuit intending to be apostolically active in the modern world.

The Academy will include:

- Three high-quality courses for young Jesuits in leadership, communications, and psychology for ministry
- Global Jesuit community experience
- Visits to the historic university city of Oxford and other nearby cultural destinations
- Full board and lodging at Campion Hall 

Cost: £1200 (€1400)
Full bursaries are available upon application to the British Province; travel not included.
Eligibility:This programme is intended for pre-tertian Jesuits in formation, although exceptions will be considered. Candidates must have good English language skills in listening, reading, and speaking. 


Week I: Psychological Aspects of Ministry              3 - 7 August 2020

Week II: Communications Training                       10 - 14 August 2020

Week III: Ignatian Leadership Skills                      17 - 21 August 2020

Speakers include:
Dr Roger Dawson SJ is a clinical psychologist and currently works as Director of St Beuno’s Spirituality Centre in north Wales.
David McCallum SJ is a renowned authority on Ignatian leadership and lectures and trains widely on the subject. He is Vice President for Mission Integration & Development at Le Moyne College, Syracuse.
Ruth Holgate is a Jesuit associate, a former director of two Jesuit spirituality centres, and is now involved in Jesuit ministry to young adults.
