Campion Hall celebrated the book launch on 30 April of Gavin Flood's Religion and the Philosophy of Life (Oxford University Press. 2019). Friends, colleagues, and students gathered in the sun to mark the release of this exciting new work, which "Reveals how religion as the source of civilization transforms the fundamental bio-sociology of humans through language and the somatic exploration of religious ritual and prayer." Dr Nicholas Austin, SJ, Master of Campion Hall, introduced Gavin's book as a model of what cutting-edge, interdisciplinary scholarship looks like. Dr Jessica Frazier, a Fellow of the Oxford Centre for Hindu Studies, praised Gavin's book for asking fundamental questions about human life. Copies of the book disappeared quickly as guests were eager to delve deeper into this impresive work.
