Treasures of the Hall: The D'Arcy Room

Editor's Note: As part of a series on the art and architecture of Campion Hall we'll be highlighting an item or room each week, with a short description penned by Hall Archivist Prof. Peter Davidson and Archival Associate Altair Brandon-Salmon.

 The D'Arcy Room

The D'Arcy Room has been re-furnished, with new curtains, re-painted panelling and reupholstered furniture. The colours and tones in the room are all in harmony with the portrait of Mary of Modena from the studio of Sir Godfrey Kneller. The increasingly autumnal garden of the hall (whose lawns are temporarily showing a varied crop of mushrooms) can be seen through the French windows.
