James Hanvey, SJ, on the Synod on the Family

Writing for the independent online journal The Conversation, Master of Campion Hall James Hanvey, SJ, reflected recently on the recently concluded Syond on the Family: 

Given the media attention around the Catholic Church’s latest synod on the family ... one might think that the whole event was scripted by Umberto Echo or Dan Brown. But ... the synod offers questions and challenges which can only serve the much more sustained reflection that we all need to have if we are to create and shape a richer, healthier, human and social ecology. 

Fr. Hanvey explains the context and structure of the synod, as well as its significance for the Church's teaching on family and marriage.
