Campion welcomes new Georgetown visitor

Campion Hall is pleased to welcome a new visitor from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Jose Asturias studied economics at the University of Minnesota and holds additional degrees in economics and mathematics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Coming to us on sabbatical from his current position as Assistant Professor of Economics at Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service in Qatar, Dr. Asturias will spend the spring of 2016 living in the Campion community and working on his academic research. His work analyses the effects of transportation infrastructure on economic production networks, and will attempt to develop a new quantitative model of trade with implications for scholarly and policy questions. In his spare time, Jose enjoys travelling the world and meeting new people.
