Hall Unveils State-of-the-Art Touchscreen Technology

Over the summer Campion Hall was delighted to take delivery of a state-of-the-art Clevertouch Interactive Display System from Sahara Presentation Systems and undertook a morning’s training on its use in readiness for hosting academic conferences, delivering presentations and carrying out teaching. We believe that we are the first college of the University to install this Clevertouch system for use of the fellows and students. The system consists of an 84” 4K touch screen and speakers with a built in Windows computer and Android operating system, as well as capacity for linking to any laptops, tablets etc that may be required, magnetic pens for use with the screen and an adjustable height stand.

The major advantage of the new system is its capacity for interaction, with multiple users able to annotate presentations or notes directly onto the screen during meetings. This was felt to be particularly advantageous in the planning stages of academic projects and for lively teaching sessions. Any device is able to be controlled fully from the touch screen once linked and multiple devices are available at one time, enabling users to seamlessly switch between delivering presentations, taking notes, annotating projects and using the internet without leaving their position in front of the screen.

Campion Hall is delighted to aid the activities of its lively academic community with this new technology and looks forward to seeing the creative use of this fantastic tool.
